Ahhh, ok, I'm late, but I just finished DH last night. xD
You guys have already said everything I wanted to say.. about Harry's eyes and Snape wanting them to be the last thing he saw... about Voldemort's soul as the baby... the cheesy/crappy names JK came up with in the epilogue... lol
I dunno how I feel. After I finished it, I was really happy for some reason. It's all over. It's really all over.
And I cried the most when Dobby died. Wow, I just couldn't stop. Even more than Sirius's death, or Dumbledore's, or Fred/Lupin/Tonks.
I too didn't like the middle part where they were just traveling around. But I loved that JK reverenced a lot of things from the previous books.
Can't wait for the encyclopedia!

I didn't like the whole travelling bit in the middle when I first read it, I thought it seemed to drag in relation to other parts. However on the second read the pacing felt much better, so it's definately advantageous to not gobble it down like a common road whore.
I totally bum fuck Deathly Hallows now!

Yeah it definately improved upon second reading - I think it's because I finally realised how significant certain bits of their friggen boring camping trip actually were.

Finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Jen. XD As you show no grief for Snape but I love you anyway. Lol! I completely left him out of the death's list didn't I? xD Ok, something about his death... I thought it was freaky how JK wrote his thoughts coming out of his ears/eyes/mouth. I didn't realize what they actually were until a paragraph or so before Harry dumped them in the pensieve. lol. I'm planning to reread the whole series again sometime in the future...

I loved it! Love Love LOVED it. I made sure to savor every last page and didn't finish it for a good three days.
I really expected that when i finished it i would be inconsolable at the event of there be no more harry potters but in fact i was satisfied.
The story was such a good one and such a great ending. I was just so fucking relieved that Harry, Hermione or Ron did not die!
I knew that one of the twins would die i just fucking knew it! Jk = Evil!! It was one of the things i feared most! Every time they came into the story i expected Voldemort to appear and kill one of them or something!
I was so upset i didn't even realise that Tonks & Lupin died! It said something like 'as if they were asleep' and i actually thought they were asleep! I don't know why on earth they would be taking a nap in the middle of a war... i blame trauma but when i realise it set me off again.
Dobby. I was crying my eyes out - it was like a tap or something. And i was on a plane! I had to wear my sunglasses so no one would notice! I was on my way to Spain for 3 weeks. I think it was the 'Dobby - a free elf' that made it worse!
I didn't really cry at Snape's death - again probably trauma but in his memories the tears were flowing again! It was so sad that after all those years! Imagine poor Snape seeing Harry - a mix of James&Lily the two people who he hated and loved in the same body!
There were a few things i didn't get.. like why did Wormtails hand attack him? I didn't really understand the the Baby Voldemort bit but upon reading it again i kinda did...
I was also in uproar about the Ron&Hermione baby names... HUGO?! Wtf. Your brother died... so did lots of your closest friends etc and you call your child Hugo. I expected Hermione to demand one was called Dobby or something with her elf rights love and all.
Even though its not mentioned i'm guessing 'Victoire' is Fleur and Bill's child? With the frenchness and snogging i deffo expect its Fleurs.
I reread the ending god knows how many times. I loved it. The war. Back into the forest. The Train Station. Etc.
Oh and i LOVED Neville! <3 His time had come! I was so proud of him!
